The illustrations in this book are gorgeous!!! This book is a lot like Twelve Dancing Princesses only with unicorns. I found the lesson so beautiful, that animals are meant to be free and not kept in chains. I loved how the King saw the errors of his ways. I also loved how the main hero was a small girl because my daughter really related to the story. She is small and sometimes people treat her as though she can't do things because of it.
This book is wonderful for all ages, so happy we have this book!!!

What a beautiful book. My daughter loves this book so much more than the dancing princesses.
Beautiful book. Our granddaughter love unicorns so she loved this book. A book for Grandma to read.
Was an ok book - not what. Was expected
This was a birthday gift purchased for my 5 year old granddaughter. She and I loved it. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story held our attention. She loves listening to the story and pretending she is the little girl in the story. We read it to all the children at the party, ages 2 to 6, and they all sat quite and listened. Worth every penny, and highly recommended.
My almost 4 year old is obsessed with unicorns, but there aren't many books out there that met the needs of a preschooler in that subject. The book was a tad long in two pages, but it kept her attention throughout the entire story. I wouldn't recommend this for children younger than 3/4 unless they're very attentive to bring read to. The pictures were great, absolutely beautiful artwork. It has become a bedtime favorite.
Beautiful, truly beautiful illustrations. Beautiful story full of imagination. Girl doesn't just sneak out, she is helped by her mother, which I appreciated. Story has a great moral ending. I hope this book gets the traction it deserves. It is quite a gem and worth owning!
